CHRIST-MASS

Isaiah 9:6-7
For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end.
He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity.
The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

The summary of what the world celebrates today is the story of salvation.

Just as it came as fresh glorious news to the shepherds as recorded by Luke, the winter blows a fresh breeze of good tidings reminding us of when joy came to the world:

Luke 2:8-11
That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep.
Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.
The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!

Yes the coming of the Messiah brought joy to the world. That mere man can be called sons of the Heavenly Father.

Nothing else concerns the believer, not a date, nor the exact place, no matter how pagan the worship was when the Roman Catholic church adopted the day, that is the business of those who seek another god. For the salvation of man is not a function of any denomination, religion or sect but Christ is all in all.

Galatians 3:26
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

For every man was a sinner before Christ came to the world. He came to set sinners free.

1 Timothy 1:15
This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

You see that we have every reason to give Him glory. Glory to the living God.

For what would have been our lot if our maker had left us, with only the hope of this world which has already been marked for destruction.

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:

This should be message as we give glory to God.

We let those who have the power to argue, do the arguing.  We accept the liberty we have in Christ Jesus and worship the Heavenly Father.

Colossians 2:16-18
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.
For these rules are only shadows of the reality yet to come. And Christ himself is that reality.
Don’t let anyone condemn you by insisting on pious self-denial or the worship of angels, saying they have had visions about these things. Their sinful minds have made them proud,

Our mind should be on Christ Jesus:

Colossians 3:1-4
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.
Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.
For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.
And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.

Our joy will never end.

He calls us blessed.

Love
