BEWARE OF THE FEAR TACTICS (false prophecies)
Nehemiah 6:9
For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, [O God], strengthen my hands.
Fear is one tool the enemy uses and if we allow it, it will bring us down.
2Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
No purpose or project exist that does not have its challenges, Nehemiah did not fall for the fear gimmick the enemies employed. He stood in prayers, faith and dedication.
They now came up with a new type of fear "false prophesy":
Nehemiah 6:10
Afterward I came unto the house of Shemaiah the son of Delaiah the son of Mehetabeel, who [was] shut up; and he said, Let us meet together in the house of God, within the temple, and let us shut the doors of the temple: for they will come to slay thee; yea, in the night will they come to slay thee.
Yes it is not a new thing for acclaimed "men of God" to be used for fulfil selfish purposes. For every believer must know how to recognize true prophesy(ies), against those who are seeking selfish gains or are agents of the enemy.
Nehemiah 6:12&13
And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.
Therefore [was] he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and [that] they might have [matter] for an evil report, that they might reproach me.
Nehemiah did not fall for their trick, he was a man of prayer.
Nehemiah 6:14.
My God, think thou upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear.
The ministry of fear have been adopted by some sects, for they believe they need to keep the people in bondage, however those who are wise to maintain their personal relationship with the Heavenly Father through His revealed Self, Jesus the Christ, cannot be roped by fear. For God's Spirit in us gives us:
LOVE, POWER and SOUND MIND.
Glory to God.
He calls us blessed.
