BE READY TO MAKE THE RIGHT MOVES
Nehemiah 2:5
And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it.
Some say the have resolutions, resolves to stop bad habits, focus on real goals and achieve them. However, many do not achieve them. Some who claim to be spiritual, do the praying, but leave out the listening and following of instruction. Some just go ahead relying on their instinct. The believer must be balanced.
The life of Chris Gardner, played by Will Smith in the movie "pursuit for happiness", we hear his son telling a story. "A christian man found himself drowning in water and a man came by in a boat to save him, but he refused his help saying to the man "God will help me". Another man came in a boat and tried to help him, he refused again saying, "God will save me". He finally drowned and went to heaven. When he got to heaven he asked God "Why did you not save me". God replied, "I sent two men dummy".
It is vital to pray and fast just as Nehemiah did, however are we attentive to receive instructions and directions? For it is one thing for the Heavenly Father to speak, it is another thing for us to hear and understand. This is why we must remain in the Spirit.
Nehemiah was attentive, he knew where his help would come from.
As we approach the coming year, we must be resolute to make the right moves. No matter what level of life we are, or what our present situation is, there is always a moving ahead.
For we who teach the word, we counsel that in all our growing be it for our physical well being, family, business or other goals we must make effort to:
2Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.
We cannot know Him enough, as other areas of our life succeeds we must balance our spiritual life. For the King will surely return victorious:
Luke 19:15
And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
We will make the right moves, we will prosper, the Heavenly Father will be pleased with us.
He calls us blessed.
