THE PRAISE CONTINUES (Psalm 135)
Psalm 135:1&13
Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the name of the LORD; praise [him], O ye servants of the LORD.
Thy name, O LORD, [endureth] for ever; [and] thy memorial, O LORD, throughout all generations.
When the Lord chose His people, He saw beyond the individuals, He saw faith, that was the attribute of Abraham.
We know by now that God is Spirit, and those who worship Him, must do so in Spirit. This was what Jesus was explaining to Nicodemus in John chapter three.
Thus, it is not about an earthy or physical lineage but a spiritual one.
John 3:6-7
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
His place of birth did not matter, it could not save him. It was his spiritual birth that counted.
Thus we hear Jesus telling the Pharisees and Sadducees:
Matthew 21:31
Whether of them twain did the will of [his] father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
Thus our citizenship with God is a spiritual identity.
This is how it pleases the Heavenly Father to do it.
Psalm 135:6
Whatsoever the LORD pleased, [that] did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
Our part is to key into what He has done, not to create another.
Malachi 3:6
For I [am] the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Glory to God.
We rejoice in what He has done and give Him all the praise.
Halleluyah.
He calls us blessed.
