THE LIGHT (Psalm 119 pt. 8)
Psalm 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Suffice it to say that the Word of God was with Him in the beginning, God through Him created all things, for God would not declare without Him. Thus when He declared "let there be light, the lesser lights was made manifest for the greater light already existed" . . . entrance of the word giveth light.
The greater light was Christ Jesus, not just light literally but illumination "the author of understanding". Yes wisdom, righteousness, salvation. . . 1 Corinthians 1:30
John 1:1-5
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
This is why no matter how great the prophets were, they could not reveal the Heavenly Father, only the Son, who is the Word and who is the Light could.
For,
1 Timothy 6:16
Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.
If only the world knew Christ's oneness with the Father.
John 10:30
I and [my] Father are one.
Only He could approach the unapproachable light for He is Light. Halleluyah.
Thus when Christ Jesus comes into your life every darkness is removed. You are set free, and you begin to see, you no longer grope in the dark, your way is made clear, you know where you are going and can also lead others.
Because of you, the Heavenly Father is glorified.
John 1:9
[That] was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Matthew 5:14-16
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
This is the only true light, the real illumination that comes from the Word of God.
Remember that where there is the original, there is also the fake. Thus many cults and religions have arisen over the centuries claiming to show another light, another salvation. They promise riches of the world, power and fame. We must not be deceived. We must let God’s Spirit guide us.
Even some churches have derailed, giving promises that neither Christ nor His disciples ever gave. We must beware.
How can you follow a man or a prophet who does not know where he or she is going. How can you leave light and follow darkness.
Christ Jesus knew where He was going for He knew where He came from.
John 16:28
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
Many religions, sects and denominations will keep teaching and convincing many, they would even lead multitudes. However there is only one light, one illumination. Christ Jesus, who was the Messiah and who will return a Conqueror, the Almighty King. For in Him dwells the fullness of the God Head bodily.
Colossians 2:8-9
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And we have believed and received Him:
Colossians 2:10
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
That which David prayed was fulfilled when Christ was revealed:
Psalm 119:133&140
Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Thy word [is] very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
Why would anyone continue in darkness when Light has been revealed.
1 Corinthians 1:23-25
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
Glory to God, we dwell in the light, we are illuminated. We show forth His light we can never return to darkness, we have overcome darkness. We call others out of darkness into this marvelous light.
We live in His light now. When the Lord of Light shall finally return, we will reign with Him in great Light. Halleluyah.
Psalm 119:144
The righteousness of thy testimonies [is] everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live.
We shall reign in His light.
Revelation 21:23-24; 22:5
And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.
And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
"Do not reject the light, come to the Light."
GLORY TO GOD.
He calls us blessed.
