STAY FAITHFUL (Psalm 126)
Psalm 126:5
They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Everything God created and gave life to, was commanded to grow. However the growth is a process, from one season to another. The record of creation lets us understand that God designed years and seasons:
Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
Thus if we may illustrate with the birth of a child. There is a rejoicing when the mother takes in with child, there is the period of waiting for the child to develop this is accompanied with some discomfort and pain. Then finally comes the time to give birth, still more pain and discomfort. Then after a while the child comes into the world, still with pain but a little relief, the mother rejoices that the child has been brought into the world.
This illustration continues with the weaning period of the child, and all the challenges that leads to the child being able to support itself and become useful to the mother.
It is thus strange when people talk of instant turn around(s), instant breakthrough etc. Expecting bundles of excelling when they have not gone through the process.
What have you invested that you are expecting to reap from?
Psalms 126:6
They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
This false mentality of reaping where one has not sowed has led many to turn to various evil vices to excel, from diabolic means to fraud, theft and corruption. Acquiring through these means cannot be blessed by the Lord. For you cannot compensate the Lord in disobedience. Just as king Saul learnt "... obedience is better than sacrifice..."
Thus we see people from year to year being promised one breakthrough and another and the year keep passing by, they wait in idleness for what is not theirs, thinking they could with their little bribe pay for what they have neither worked for or they are not graced for.
Thus, PATIENCE is expressed as one of the attributes of God's Spirit, this Spirit everyone who is born again has received.
The waiting period is a time of development of character, time of learning and also time of service.
Check through scriptures those who jumped into things without the waiting and training period always failed at the end, start with Adam even till Solomon.
The wait is not too long when you enjoy the process.
Psalm 126:1&2
When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.
Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.
Don't get carried away by what people say!
What has God said?
This should be paramount to us.
He is always faithful. We should be faithful too.
Have you asked God, what do you want me to do?
Psalm 126:3
The LORD hath done great things for us; [whereof] we are glad.
Always remember that:
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
We give all glory to the Heavenly Father who makes all things work for our good, even our faults. Halleluyah.
Stay faithful.
He calls us blessed.
