HELP FROM GOD (Psalm 60)

Psalm 60:11
Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.

In our time we do see troubles for the come in divers forms. What may look ordinary to one could be a huge burden to another. However when war, chaos, insecurity, natural disasters and famine exists everyone feels the bite.

In all, the true help we can find is in the Lord. For He says that even when a mother has to forget her sucking child He will not forget His own:

Isaiah 49:15
Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

The truth is that we have varying measures of quantifying our challenges, could we just say we want no discomfort at all. Well we live in this earth, we will face challenges. For it is after here He said He will "... wipe away every tear from our eyes".

For wisdom says, trust Him through the storm. For many have fallen or erred thinking or have been taught that there would be no storm. No, we trust Him in the storm, for though it seems He sleeps, He got us covered.

Mark 4:37-40
But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water.
Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”
When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.
Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

So help from God is help that is reliable. Some err by first running to man, then when man disappoints they begin to seek God. No, we seek God then God can use man to come to our aid.

So we declare like David:

Psalms 60:11-12
Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.
With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.

Halleluyah, for in God we trust.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
