CAPTURED THOUGHTS (Psalm 64)
Psalm 64:10
The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
We keep wandering why people could carry such evil thoughts in their heart against another. It should not be strange to us for it has been so since the fall of man. What should be strange is we who are believers enabling this thoughts, that should never be.
Psalms 64:2-6
Hide me from the plots of this evil mob, from this gang of wrongdoers.
They sharpen their tongues like swords and aim their bitter words like arrows.
They shoot from ambush at the innocent, attacking suddenly and fearlessly.
They encourage each other to do evil and plan how to set their traps in secret. “Who will ever notice?” they ask. As they plot their crimes, they say, “We have devised the perfect plan!” Yes, the human heart and mind are cunning.
For we must understand that powers do exist and they influence man by influencing his thoughts.
Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
So what do we do:
Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
What do we do, if these thoughts try to creep in?
2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
(HELP US GOOD LORD)
Romans 8:37
No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
For those who allow themselves to be slaves to these evils are doomed:
Psalms 64:7-8
But God himself will shoot them with his arrows, suddenly striking them down.
Their own tongues will ruin them, and all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.
1John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
WE ARE DIFFERENT!
We will not proclaim Christ and His Spirit and then walk the walk of the wicked. Never. Our thoughts are captured by Christ. For our thoughts are governed by His Word and Spirit, Halleluyah. Thank you Father.
