GOD RULES ON EARTH(Psalm 47)
Psalm 47:2
For the LORD most high [is] terrible; [he is] a great King over all the earth.
The book of Psalms is one part of scriptures that debunks the claim of the enemy to rule the earth. It is not his to take and neither at anytime was he given to rule the earth. The rulership and dominion of the earth was the Creator's, and He handed that right to man.
Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
What the enemy does is to:
John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have [it] more abundantly.
It begins with "the lie", when you fall for it you begin to fall for other things too.
Thus we give praise to the Heavenly Father. Yes we are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy "we watch and pray", however and more importantly we must give glory to Him who owns where we occupy.
Psalm 47:1
O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.
Yes we know He is Love, however we must not dare Him, for He is great. Don't pray to see His wrath, never!
Psalm 47:2
For the LORD most high [is] terrible; [he is] a great King over all the earth.
I pity those humans(men and women), who have dared to take His place, making themselves God most likely because leadership fell into their hands.
Nebuchadnezzar learnt humility the hard way, he should be an example to everyone. Don't play God!
Psalm 47:6-7
Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
For God [is] the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.
We must praise Him with understanding, for if you get an understanding of God, you just praise Him better. He is Awesome Wonder.
This is why Paul prayed:
Ephesians 1:17
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
Whether man has believed or not God is God over all:
Psalm 47:8
God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness.
May we not spend most of our time worrying about the enemy or the problems of this world. Let us use that energy to worship Him who made all and has the final say:
Psalm 47:9
The princes of the people are gathered together, [even] the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth [belong] unto God: he is greatly exalted.
Heavenly Father we give you all the glory, honour and praise. Be thou exalted Oh Lord, my lips will never cease to praise you. My deeds will cause many to praise you. Halleluyah
He calls us blessed.
