GET IT RIGHT(Psalm 38)

Psalm 38:1
O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

We know that the coming of the Messiah, His death and resurrection brought us out of the bondage of sin and death. This miracle David did not experience so we understand his prayers in Psalm 38.

However every wrong doing has its repercussion, for the Lord has put things in place for He is the creator. There is a reward for all our actions be they good or bad.

Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Yes, for some, especially those who have given themselves high seats in Heavenly places, think that they are immune to the consequences of their actions. They did beware, for the bible says:

Acts 10:34
Then Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

David saw the repercussion of his actions, he pleaded for mercy. He knew that those who hated him would take advantage to mock him, he humbled himself and sought God's mercy.

What do we do today if we err as believers, do we become sober and seek our Father's face, do we take out time to get ourselves together seeking for the Lord to put us right again that we do not lead others astray or do we act as if we have no fear of God?

Or have we already made ourselves infallible, remember we have not been changed, this would only happen at the second coming of Christ. That is why we live by the Spirit and keep the body dead.

For many of us who have exalted ourselves, we must therefore not err. It is God who exalts. For whatever men call you, what God calls you is what matters.

Belshazzar was king in Babylon, however this was God's estimate of him:

Daniel 5:27
TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

Thus he lost his kingdom!

So we are taught:

1 Corinthians 11:31
For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

May the Lord grant us more wisdom and grace, it is well with us.

He calls us blessed.
