WHEN YOUR LEADERS TRUST THE LORD (Psalm 21)
Psalm 21:1
The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!
The best thing to happen to a people is to have their leader put his trust in the Lord.
Psalm 21:7
For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
The Lord thus fights His battles, and just as David recounts in Psalm 21, woe unto his enemies.
Our country will be prosperous and a joy to live in, if our leaders' hearts were with the Lord.
Many of them who claim to be believers are not true, for indeed they seem to worship something else!
Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Thus the prayer for our leaders starts before they are even appointed, elected or enthroned. Then it continues afterwards that they will not fall.
Woe unto those who say they are of the Lord yet treat those they lead unfairly. Stealing from the common wealth, holding back their wages, cheating them, overstretching them and not putting themselves in their place.
Jeremiah 22:13
Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; [that] useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work;
Leviticus 19:13
Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob [him]: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.
Even the Heavenly Father came down to our level to be able to feel what we feel and He thus is able to help us:
Hebrews 4:15
For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin.
It is a terrible thing to take advantage of the people the Lord has put under you. Remember:
Luke 12:48
But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few [stripes]. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
Are you a leader?
* in government
* by law
* an employer
* a pastor
* head of department/unit
* teacher/lecturer
or even
* a parent
What is your testimony?
As we pray for leaders, make sure you are a good one yourself. For you will surely give account.
The Lord who recognized your leadership also hears the cries of those you lead!
May the Lord send us good leaders. May we be better leaders.
HELP US GOOD LORD.
He calls us blessed.
