THE WAITING - PATIENCE (Psalm 13)

Psalm 13:1
How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

Waiting is not easy, yes, for those times we are expecting from the Lord it seems as if it is taking too long. This is human nature and if we have not learnt patience and perseverance it could cost us a lot - King Saul is an example for us.

1Samuel 15:24
And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice.

Just like the error of King Saul, most of our impatience is from "What will people say?"

It is difficult for one looking for prestige or relevance to walk the way of the Lord for what the people want most times,  contradicts what God expects from us.

1 Corinthians 7:31(NLT)
Those who use the things of the world should not become attached to them. For this world as we know it will soon pass away.

1John 2:17
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:17(NLT)
And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Thus patience is a rare characteristics of the world, for if patience reigns then we bring down:

* anger
* strife
* lust
* erring
* theft
* hate
* misjudgments
and many more evil vices:

Romans 15:5
Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:

For not very long we would testify like David eventually did:

Psalm 13:6
I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

May the Lord grant us more grace to display this nature of the Spirit and thus avoid so much troubles.

We are of the Heavenly Father, we will live by His nature.

Glory to God.

He calls us blessed.

Love
