FOR WE TRUST IN GOD (Psalm 20)

Psalm 20:1
The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

There are some who teach that the believer never gets into trouble, that the moment you come to Christ all your problems are solved and that you will no longer face any challenges.

It is not as if they are wrong, it is just that the miss it somewhere!

John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

It is not that you will not face challenges but whatever challenge you face, before you even begin, Christ has overcome. He has given you the victory.

1John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

Can there be victory, if there was no battle???

Thus we move by faith and not by sight.

When you entered in for that programme it looked overwhelming, however if you focus on the end, and do all you have to do, it is just the matter of time you finish the programme and become certified.

The training and discipline was not to harm you but to qualify you. Selah!

The only issue is when you suffer for doing wrong, there may be no profit there for you. You have to find the joy in that you have to pay for that disobedience, or neglect or even ignorance. Thank God for grace and mercy.

1 Peter 4:12-16
Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you.
Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.
If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.
If you suffer, however, it must not be for murder, stealing, making trouble, or prying into other people’s affairs.
But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by his name!

What exactly are you facing that challenge for?

In all, no matter what it is, we must put our trust in God. One beautiful thing we learn from David, is that whatever it is, he runs back to God. He said "if it is chastisement, let it be God who chastises me, for I know He is merciful".

For who else do you want to put your trust in?

Psalm 20:6-8
Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.
Some [trust] in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

That man or that power you are trusting in outside of God will surely disappoint. For they are meant to pass away. Why should I depend on one who yet depends on someone else, why not depend on Him, who depends on no one else.

Isaiah 45:18 & 22
For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I [am] the LORD; and [there is] none else.
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I [am] God, and [there is] none else.

Not that God does not use man to help man, we however must understand the source. The Heavenly Father.

Never get carried away, it is the Heavenly Father that has the final say, once you put your trust in Him be rest assured that you are more than a conqueror. Glory to His Holy name.

Heavenly Father we put our trust in you afresh, you revealed yourself to us through your Word, your Son, Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, we give you all the Glory, honour and praise. Our trust is in you. We will always overcome. Thank you dear Father.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
