EVIL LIPS
Psalm 12:2
They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: [with] flattering lips [and] with a double heart do they speak.
The book of Proverbs cautions us that there are things the Lord hates:
Proverbs 6:16-18
These six [things] doth the LORD hate: yea, seven [are] an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
"an EVIL lip"
They are like snakes when they open their mouth into your ears, they pour out venoms, causing you to hate and to think negative of someone else.
It is a sign of a polluted, envious/jealous, proud and evil heart.
Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
We must be mindful that the fact that one goes to church, even committed in ministry, dresses decently or may even have a designation does not abolish the fact that the still look filthy in the eyes of the heavens.
For it is one thing for Christ to become our righteousness and another for us to live in that righteousness.
Galatians 5:16
[This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Remember, we are not relieved of this body until Christ returns!
So reject that which is not of the Spirit of God, feed your heart with the food of the Spirit, ignore and cast out evil, envious and wicked thoughts if you say you of Christ, think like Him.
Romans 15:6
That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Remember:
Matthew 12:34-37
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Some have grown up this way, allowing hate and envy in their heart. Filled with a proud heart being NOTHING they feel they are SOMETHING.
The feel that they are never wrong, the other person must be the defaulter.
They are always pointing to someone else for their own faults. They NEVER examine their lives to see where they have erred to correct the mistakes, they instead seek others to blame for their misfortunes and failures. (THE SO CALLED PROPHETS FEED ON THEIR VANITY)
The are disgusting to any pure mind.
The bible calls them an abomination to the Lord:
Proverbs 16:5
Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
The best place of transformation is in front of the mirror. Our mirror as believers is the Word of God.
May we never be caught in this web for we are of Christ and Him may our lives always glorify, yes even our heart and our lips.
Guard your heart(Proverbs 4:23)
He calls us blessed.
