BATTLING CHRIST = BATTLING GOD (Psalm 2)

Psalms 2:12(NLT)
Submit to God’s royal son, or he will become angry, and you will be destroyed in the midst of all your activities— for his anger flares up in an instant. But what joy for all who take refuge in him!

When the bible says in John chapter one that in the beginning was the word. It is clear for those whose eyes are open to understand that Christ has been from the beginning.

Every instruction, every proclamation from the Heavenly Father was the revelation of His Son.

So when the people battled against the one God had called, the actually battled Christ.

Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward.

When Christ said "Abraham saw my day" some assume it was just his encounter with the priest of Salem, it was actually more than that:

John 8:56-58
Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw [it], and was glad.
Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

So to everyone Christ(the Word) came to, the enemy came to battle against, even the first man.

Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Thus the enemy came after them, for man was given dominion - man became a threat.

Israel became a threat as a nation, cause they were given dominion and from them was the promise of the revelation of the Son, the Messiah, would be revealed.

Matthew 2:3-5
When Herod the king had heard [these things], he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,

And after His resurrection and ascension Israel was not the only threat, the "church" became the new threat.

Thus the attack from outside and within, for Christ said that the man sowed good seeds but his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat.

Matthew 13:24-25
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.

The rise of all false prophets, false teachings, false denominations even the power of the authority of the day that polluted the early church (mixing traditions, custom and circular authority with the church). Eventually today many false ones claiming to be called of God!

So we understand what David was prophesying in the 2nd book of Psalms.

Psalm 2:1-4
Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.

When you reject the Heavenly Father and His Son, you choose damnation:

John 3:18-19
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

The Messiah, Jesus the Christ, the begotten of the Father, His very Word, whom the Father has left all Judgment to.

Are we in agreement with Him or are we fighting against Him.

Matthew 12:30
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Listen again to the prophesy:

Psalm 2:12
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish [from] the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.

* Have you accepted His salvation?
* Have you received His Spirit?
* Do you do the works of the Heavenly Father?
* Do you build the church, or do you break it down? (not a building but a bride, selah)
* Do you use His name for gain or for the Heavenly Father's glory?
* Do your light shine to the world or do you bring shame to the Word?
* Are you in His truth, or do you live a lie?
* Have you made yourself God (God did not create man to have dominion over other men. Selah)
* Do you honour God, or you honour man? Acts 10:25-26

Psalm 2:2
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, [saying],

Whose side are you on?

Have you called man God, or given God's glory to a mortal?

Remember, God calls everyone and with Him there is no respecter of persons, no matter what title they bear!

Acts 10:34
Then Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Romans 2:11
For there is no respect of persons with God.

ARE YOU FIGHTING GOD, ARE YOU FIGHTING HIS SON!

Wake up!

You cannot be on the loosing side.

Submit to the Heavenly Father today.

You who has been faithful be reassured, you already have victory.

Remember His promise:

John 14:3
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!

Psalm 2:12b
Blessed [are] all they that put their trust in him.

He calls us blessed.
