TO SERVE THE LORD IS GAIN
1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Never in vain, yes, however some may begin to ask, why was this person or that person not blessed and yet they served the Lord.
Well, we never truly know the circumstance of a person from a distance, we need to get close. All is not always what it seems. One truth is sure though, the Lord does not disappoint, He doesn't fail.
1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you].
We do not know the end from the beginning, thus our knowledge is limited.
Do we have an idea of the battle the Lord fights on behalf of His own? The enemy thrives on our weakness and strives to take advantage.
1 Peter 5:8&9
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
He keeps asking for opportunities to prove those who have put their trust in God. It didn't end with Job.
Luke 22:31&32
And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat:
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
We never know how much the Lord fights for us.
Above all the reward after here is better imagined.
We could get carried away with earthly riches and forget that riches goes beyond money. For most have money yet do not have joy.
However when it is of God sorrow does not come with it.
Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
Thus we never loose out staying faithful. For His covenant is sure.
Keep being faithful.
He calls us blessed.
