SEEK HIM AND NOT. . .
Psalm 25:10
All the paths of the LORD [are] mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
The nature of God had been revealed again and again through the time of old and a few whose hearts were focused on Him could enjoy His mercy and truth, one of them was David.
Psalm 25:12
What man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose.
Some at that time would have said, "I have kept the law that is enough". However it was them (their soul) that God sought for, that they may seek Him.
The focus was to be on God and not ordinances:
Psalm 25:12
What man [is] he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way [that] he shall choose.
Thus David prophesied that the revelation of that great secret will be to those who feared the Lord:
Psalm 25:14
The secret of the LORD [is] with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
See how He began the Psalm:
Psalm 25:1
Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.
We must be careful not to fail even after we have come to the dispensation when His secrets have been revealed:
Romans 16:25
Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
We should therefore stop the ignorance and cease to seek the elements. We should seek the Person!
For this was the error of those who erred of old.
"Do we do the same?"
Is it God in our hearts or do we seek for man or elements.
Luke 16:15
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
John 14:1
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Romans 1:21
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified [him] not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
James 4:8
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [your] hands, [ye] sinners; and purify [your] hearts, [ye] double minded.
Seek God, get to know Him more. He is the Primary, the Essence, He is the reason, let nothing and no one take His place. If you see the Son you see Him for:
Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Thus:
Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
It is time to let go of all the idols, free yourself from the elementals and seek a God who gave you salvation.
For do you know that people idolize wisdom:
1 Corinthians 1:21
For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
1 Corinthians 2:5
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 3:19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
True wisdom is to seek the Heavenly Father revealed by His Son Jesus the Christ.
And this is our prayer:
Ephesians 1:17
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
We will seek the Heavenly Father and not man or elementals. We will not miss it. We will be found faithful.
He gives us His Wisdom in Christ Jesus(1 Corinthians 1:30)
He calls us blessed.
