NO GOOD IS VAIN

1 Corinthians 15:58
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

It is not strange to get tired in doing good work for the world we live in can not be called good. We therefore need to look beyond it to see the reason for continuing in good works.

1 Corinthians 15:19
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

Most who walk in wickedness or unrighteousness either do not believe in the life after or have chosen to ignore or blur it out of their minds. Thus when they think that it ends here, it is almost as if they say "there is no God".

1 Timothy 4:2
Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

However we know that it goes beyond here, our spirit bears us witness that this world is not all there is, we will yet live after here and what we do here is a function of what that place will be for us.

2 Corinthians 5:10
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things [done] in [his] body, according to that he hath done, whether [it be] good or bad.

Furthermore we should also understand that even in this short time we have to spend on earth, the fruit of our deeds are also expressed. For Christ said:

Mark 10:30
But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

One key thing for all wise people is not to get easily carried away with that moment of urge. For the aftermath could take longer periods to clear, yet many never really go away.

Yet we should take the little opportunities we have to do good.

Romans 2:10&11
But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
For there is no respect of persons with God.

I will show my Father's nature. I will do good.

So help us good Lord.

He calls us blessed.

Love
