IN THIS PHASE
Ecclesiastes 7:8(NLT)
Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.
Planet earth keeps moving, thus everything in it is moving - "time".
This is why at the beginning of a thing we could be so excited. However it will always come to an end. How long does our excitement last?
The wisdom in all is that when the time for that season elapses, we ought to have become better and moved to a better place!
For we ought to keep moving forward.
Could we illustrate with our education system:
We were excited when we began our primary education, however in five to six years we have to move away from that phase, we now begin to talk of our secondary education. This initiates a new excitement. In another six years this phase is also over. We move to another phase, a four to seven years in a higher institution, always starting with a period of excitement, then we see the work to be done in that phase.
The phases continues, a year of national service. Then a new job, with its initial excitement. We could go from job to job, then most likely own our own business. Then we approach the time of rest. Retirement.
This is the prayer and desire of every man that as the Lord wills we have this time of excitement for years and decades. Then the final excitement, to be with the one Who loves us and we love, for countless eternity.
And Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, the Word of God, the revelation of the Father said:
Revelation 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
It is great joy to go through these phases with the timeless one and then finish to enjoy eternity with Him.
We must never forget that no matter the phase we are, it will eventually come to an end. What are we ready to sacrifice, what are we to hold on to?
We must make the most of it, we must leave a good testimony, we must do good and be sure to come out better.
Ephesians 6:8
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether [he be] bond or free.
We must also be conscious that we may not be in the same phase with that other person so we apply patience and wisdom in our interactions. The bottom line being that God will be glorified.
What phase are you in now? Are you making the most of it. Is God glorified. How many people have you positively affected. Do you have a testimony. Is it a good or bad one?
What do you need to do before this phase is over?
Father please set us on the right track, help us always to please you in all our phases.
I see us fulfilled, our testimony will be good. Glory to the Heavenly Father forevermore.
He calls us blessed.
Love.
