ENJOYING GOD’S BLESSINGS

Psalm 23:1
The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.

If not that man rebelled against God, we would not have had to contend with the difficulties of the flesh, for God said:

Genesis 1:31
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

We should be reminded that the very nature of God is "Goodness"

Luke 18:19
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none [is] good, save one, [that is], God.

Who declares this nature - Yeshua, Jesus the Christ.

Colossians 2:9
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

John 1:18
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

Our Heavenly Father is the Father of light and in Him there is no shadow of turning:

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Thus when we read His promises and blessings in the old testament, we should know that this is His nature.

Some say He was referring only to the children of Israel, however we are the Israel of God:

Galatians 6:16
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace [be] on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

So when David says "The Lord is my shepherd", we declare the same too.

Just as Christ came as fulfilment of the law, all God's promises are yea and amen in Christ Jesus:

2 Corinthians 1:20
For all the promises of God in him [are] yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

So we freely declare His promises:

Psalm 23:6
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Psalm 91:10
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Psalm 91:16
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.

Glory to God we bask in His blessings:

Yes

For we know that...

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Halleluyah, all glory to the Heavenly Father.

He calls us blessed.
