CHURCH OF SAINTS NOT SINNERS (THE CHURCH WELCOMES REPENTED SINNERS YET ABHORS SIN)

1 Corinthians 5:11
 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

The sinner comes to the church, is saved and is taught to live in righteousness.

As a brethren, you must let go of the sinful life.

1 Corinthians 5:7-8
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened [bread] of sincerity and truth.

We cannot live in the world with contradictions of sinners, yet still being pure, then come to the congregation of brethren where we ought to be refreshed, edified and empowered to go forth to shine again into the world and yet still be communing with sinners.

Thus Paul taught:

1 Corinthians 5:11
I meant that you are not to associate with anyone who claims to be a believer yet indulges in sexual sin, or is greedy, or worships idols, or is abusive, or is a drunkard, or cheats people. Don’t even eat with such people.

Therefore if you are a brethren, if you are part of the fold, you must put to death the old man and all its lusts. Help us dear Father.

Ephesians 4:22-23
That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

Colossians 3:8-9
 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

For God will judge those outside but we inside must judge ourselves.

1 Corinthians 5:12-13
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

For it is not enough to say "I am God's righteousness in Christ Jesus" you must put off the former self, then put on the new self. Selah

Help us dear Heavenly Father that we walk in the righteousness you gave us in your Son Jesus the Christ.

Help us Good Lord.

Ephesians 4:24
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Help us Good Lord.

May we all in the church always please the Heavenly Father.

He calls us blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
