CHURCH FIGHT
1 Corinthians 3:3
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas [there is] among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
One of the major reasons for division in the church is the differences in revelation. For one knows a part another grabs another part and thus we have variations. However, are they wrong?
Some are, all are and all are not!
1 Corinthians 13:9
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
We do not know all!
However the foundation is sure.
1 Corinthians 3:11
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Yes there are many fake sects, that are not called of God, or called but have derailed. For where there is a counterfeit, there surely exist the original.
However for those who are walking in the truth, they must understand that they are not to dwell in arguments and contentions, for the internal battle of the church means little hope for the harvest outside.
James 4:1&2
From whence [come] wars and fightings among you? [come they] not hence, [even] of your lusts that war in your members?
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
We must fight the right battles. The battle is against the enemy and not the brethren.
Have you made yourself an accuser of the brethren. Repent, unless you have joined sides with the certified accuser "the devil".
Revelation 12:10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
James 4:11&12
Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of [his] brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art thou that judgest another?
So not that we cannot correct the one erring, for the truth cannot be hidden, but we correct in love and not approach judgement. For our judgment is of what we know. Selah
Thank God we have the scriptures:
2Timothy 3:16
All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
We must sincerely ask ourselves "What is the true motive?" Is it for pride, to say "yes we are right, you are wrong", or is it for the true love of God and the brethren. Let us check ourselves.
As we worship today, let us let go of contentions, bitterness, envy, strife and those other devices that is not of God's Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit bear His fruit in us.
Colossians 2:2
That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
We will not fight the wrong battles.
