WHY THEY PERISH
2 Thessalonians 2:10
He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them.
Matthew 18:14
"Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.
This has been a great stumbling block to most people. They wonder and feel that God selects who He saves and abandon others to perish. However this is not true.
We must understand the man God created:
Genesis 1:26-27
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
This is a being made in God's type! We have the power of CHOICE.
Joshua 24:15
"And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
We have the power of choice, if we didn't, we would not be liable, we would not be accountable.
Deuteronomy 30:19
"I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;
So why will anyone perish?
Proverbs 1:29
Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD,
Anyone who perishes, will perish because they chose not to believe. Thus they chose wrongly!
John 3:18-19
"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
"And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
May our choices bring us life and not cause us to perish!
Stay in the right, make the right choices, call others to the truth that they also may not perish. Help us good Lord.
May our Testimony be this:
2 Thessalonians 2:14
He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
and our prayer is:
2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
