THE MERCIFUL FATHER
Psalm 67:1
God be merciful unto us, and bless us; [and] cause his face to shine upon us;
This prayer is fulfilled in us who have believed, for Jeremiah prophesied:
Lamentations 3:22&23
[It is of] the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
[They are] new every morning: great [is] thy faithfulness.
When the Messiah talked about no one ever seeing the Father He meant what He said: for the people who were the people of God at that time, "the Jews", seemed to have no idea who He was.
John 1:18
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].
The disciples who of course at that particular time, were yet to be christians, had no clue of the nature of God, thus they did not know how God's Spirit operates.
Luke 9:54-56
And when his disciples James and John saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save [them]. And they went to another village.
For the beloved disciple who was closest to Christ in His time here on earth understood by the Spirit who God was thus he wrote:
1John 4:16
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
"God is love"
And love provokes MERCY
That is why the prophets prophesied/declared:
Ezekiel 18:23
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: [and] not that he should return from his ways, and live?
This was why the Heavenly Father sent His Son to die that His Mercy, His grace could be available to everyone who believed.
John 3:15 & 16
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
So have you been taught the nature of God or have you been blinded by the evils that have been presented to you. That all we do as believers is to fight devils, deal with enemies and continually watch our back.
Have you observed that if you have been too busy fighting all these assumed battles, you actually never express the love of God and thus no one is saved.
God expresses Himself through love. And THAT IS WHY YOU ARE SAVED IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!
This is the greatest expression of God's love and Mercy. For love when expressed requires sacrifice.
Yes we are not ignorant of the devices of the enemy however we overcome by dwelling in God's nature and in His Word.
Glory to God.
No wonder no one else could declare Him, for none knew the heart of the Father but the Son. Glory to His Holy Name.
Many have tried various religions all in a bid to get to God. However it takes God to get to God, for Christ said:
John 6:65
And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
This is why we intercede for those who are yet to believe and come to Him. For He in His mercy would draw them to Himself.
So do not harbour hate in your heart, stop fighting those non-existing battles, work on knowing who your God is:
Daniel 11:32
And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].
Walk in the nature of your Heavenly Father. Stop that hatred, that malice that strife, why live in its bondage.
*YOU WANT MERCY, YOU MUST SHOW MERCY!
YOU HAVE BEEN SHOWN LOVE, YOU MUST SHOW LOVE! *
I see God's mercy released afresh today. For everyone of us who have believed that we will not fall or fail. And for those who have not believed that they may believe.
Glory to Him. Thus when we praise we should remember that above all that is physical, He has shown us love and mercy.
Jude 1:24-25
Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault.
All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
Glory to God.
