LET IT GO
1Thessalonians 5:23
Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 20:17
Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, but afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel.
Some gatherings of believers have been accused of not preaching against sin. They say that these ones have not been shouting about hell, oh hell, how hot it is, the pain, the despair and the anguish.
My answer most times is, "One should know more about His home, and where He is headed". And for sure that is what Christ the Messiah talked about.
However let us talk about sin. Sin is every act of lawlessness.
1John 3:4
Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
This is what God told Cain:
Genesis 4:7
You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”
One could say: "I am born again, what I do doesn't matter, it is who I am that matters".
Where did they get this from?
*The truth is that Christ has set us free from sin. We have to let it go!!!*
Colossians 3:5-10
So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world.
Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.
You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.
But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.
Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.
We should let it go, we have overcome. Don't "eat and clean mouth" like the adulterous woman in the book of Proverbs. Let it go.
Proverbs 30:20
This is the way of an adulterous woman: she eats and wipes her mouth, and says, "I have done no wickedness."
Proverbs 30:20
An adulterous woman consumes a man, then wipes her mouth and says, “What’s wrong with that?”
May the Lord return and find us faultless, may the white garment He gave us at our salvation be always spotless.
It begins with a renewed mind and a pure heart, maintain your stand.
Romans 12:1-3
And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.
May we be found blameless:
2Peter 3:14
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.
We will receive the crown of glory. Help us Good Lord.
You call us blessed.
We love you Lord.
Love
