WHAT WE SAY

James 3:10
Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

Do you cause a lot of pain with your mouth, and with this current media era, do you cause pain with your write ups?

Time to revisit your inside.

Do you use curse words?

Matthew 12:36
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

There is a trend all over the world where people have become accustomed to curse words and evil speakings. You could get so used to it that you do not know when you use them they just come out. We must remember that our words are the reflection of what we have in our inside:

Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Our conscience must never be smeared with hot iron. We must know when we should speak and when we ought to be silent.  Not every slang is meant for the believer to use. NO!

Proverbs 4:24
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.

We must not allow this cankerworm eat into our lives and the lives of those who are under us.

As Parents we have more work to do, let our children be taught to speak right, curse words are not for us. We should teach our children to speak to edify.

Proverbs 21:23
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

We ought to know that the source of these curse words include, peer groups and movies. Where are our children when we are not with them (physically and virtually).

We must not fall into these traps neither should we allow others under our care be trapped in this bondage.

Jesus said:

Matthew 5:22(NLT)
But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.

I see us speaking right and I see us leading many to do so.

Train your lips:
Proverbs 15:28
The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil.

We are the blessed. We speak as such.
