POST RESURRECTION: My Body
Romans 8:11
The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.
The power of the resurrection God's Holy Spirit dwells in you if you have the new birth. He quickens our mortal bodies and thus makes us live as we should. That is living to please the Heavenly Father.
However we cannot do this without knowledge.
2 Peter 1:4
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.
The difference is made by knowledge:
2 Peter 1:5
In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,
This knowledge is the knowledge of God, the more you learn of God by His Spirit, the more you become like Him.
Colossians 3:10
and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,
You have to know what Christ did and its implications to your body.
Do you know the power of the resurrection?:
Listen:
1 Corinthians 6:14,19-20
And God will raise us from the dead by his power, just as he raised our Lord from the dead.
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,
for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.
This is knowledge and this knowledge is truth!
For Jesus said:
John 8:32
And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
We must never let our body go into bondage again, we must release our body to the Holy Spirit that we may have no space for any filth.
SO HELP ME GOD.
Pray now brethren. Pray!
He calls us blessed.
