NO PAIN, NO GAIN
Luke 24:25-27
Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures.
Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?”
Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
Things really got messed up at the fall of man, for what man did was to reject God. From that time what God warned them of, befall them, death! Thus for man to get fruit out of the earth He had to toil.
For position of authority is lost in the place of disobedience, such that animals who were at our command became threat to us:
Genesis 4:7
You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”
1Samuel 13:14
"But now your kingdom shall not continue. The LORD has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the LORD has commanded him to be commander over His people, because you have not kept what the LORD commanded you."
(Beware of disobedience to God, the repercussion is loss of place)
So pain was brought upon man from disobedience at the beginning.
From scriptures we understand that God desired that man return to Him and take his place as His representative, fulfilling the purpose of His creation. Thus God searched for the link, who would be the channel for the return of man.
Psalms 14:2-3
The lord looks down from heaven on the entire human race;
he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.
But no, all have turned away; all have become corrupt. No one does good, not a single one!
However God found faith in man! People like Abraham, for God said, He knew He will instruct His children. Thus through the years the Lord reached out to man.
Oh how deep the confusion man brought on himself when He sinned. Many keep asking why, why, why. Why did God not just forgive man, kill the devil etc.
If only we understand what God created in us. What master piece He crafted. He put His very self in our creation.
Genesis 1:27, 2:7
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Then the lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
For He would not break the protocol.
How much better we would live our lives if only we know How much was put in us.
So our redemption was not cheap at all.
Yes it is easy to throw away that which is precious, to get it back is never easy.
Esau knows how it feels:
Hebrews 12:17
For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.
So as we remember the death of Christ, we remember how great a price He had to pay, that we may be reunited to the Heavenly Father.
We cannot afford to take it lightly but with gratitude, we remain grateful. Living in obedience. Fulfilling His command:
Mark 16:15
And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.
We think we go through pain, sorry, no pain can be compared to that which Christ bore for us. There is indeed need for us to suffer a little with Him. However He has already taken the burden. For "no pain no gain".
1 Peter 1:6
In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
Thank you Christ Jesus for this sacrifice, Glory to the Father.
Halleluyah.
So this is why He calls us blessed.
