MERCY BECAUSE OF THE COVENANT
Genesis 39:21
But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
There is no way we pass through this life without facing challenges and difficulties. Even Christ echoed it.
John 16:33
"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
Unless you have faced this situations it will be easy to remain theoretical about it. For it is easy to go comfort one facing an issue than to be comforted when one faces the situation.
Truely some situations may even be so harsh that one would prefer to leave the world. However the Lord desires that we live out our time here on earth and to live it well.
Glory to God that we are not left on our own. We are taken care of:
Hebrews 4:15-16
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Never take it lightly, the mercy of God. For with all that the life here holds we cannot do without His mercy. His promise not to leave us on our own thus we have His Spirit.
His mercy never ceaseth and Christ Jesus has made it possible for us to come in all confidence to draw from this mercy and grace that never ceases.
Father we thank you for your grace and mercy, we come to your throne of grace today to receive from you afresh. We are renewed, strengthened and sustained. Thank you Heavenly Father.
We are blessed.
