DEEP ROOTS 1

Colossians 2:7
Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

The strength of a tree lies on how deep and strong the roots are. The foundation tells if the house will stand or fall.

We as believers have our foundation in Christ Jesus. And what a strong rock He is. Never shaken, always rigid, stronger than any other. For there is no other. Selah

1 Corinthians 3:11
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 2:20
And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner [stone];

Thus when the foundation is right every other part will stand.

So what do we do?

Colossians 2:7
 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Yes, knowing that we should reject anything that contradicts Christ in our lives, we profit nothing if it is not of Him. For in Him we live and move and have our being.

2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

We thus draw new strength and grow our roots deep into Him.

Remember He said:

John 15:5
 I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Glory to God.

So no matter whatever it is we improve on, we must grow our roots deep into Him.

Elders, let us Teach our children so.

Let God's Spirit take control.

Halleluyah.

He calls us blessed.

Love
