ASKING FOR TOO MUCH

Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit,
who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come—
and who then turn away from God. It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance; by rejecting the Son of God, they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and holding him up to public shame.

How many of us are cautioned against too much zeal about seeing God in the natural? Just like Moses was asking, "that I may behold your face".

It is a sensation most of us believers have, to have that privilege of talking with God one on one. A direct interaction with the Heavenly Father not just Holy Spirit inspired but the Heavenly Father interacting with our natural.

Yes it is so wonderful, so great, the question is "do we know what it means?", "do we know what it entails?"

People ask, why did God not allow Moses enter the promise land?

So when you seek that high presence that special privilege, remember "to whom much is given, much is expected"

Luke 12:47-48
“And a servant who knows what the master wants, but isn’t prepared and doesn’t carry out those instructions, will be severely punished.
But someone who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be punished only lightly. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.

Be careful what you ask for? How well have we used the privilege we already have?

Do you remember this:

Mark 10:35-40
Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came over and spoke to him. “Teacher,” they said, “we want you to do us a favor.”
“What is your request?” he asked.
They replied, “When you sit on your glorious throne, we want to sit in places of honor next to you, one on your right and the other on your left.”
But Jesus said to them, “You don’t know what you are asking! Are you able to drink from the bitter cup of suffering I am about to drink? Are you able to be baptized with the baptism of suffering I must be baptized with?”
“Oh yes,” they replied, “we are able!”Then Jesus told them, “You will indeed drink from my bitter cup and be baptized with my baptism of suffering.
But I have no right to say who will sit on my right or my left. God has prepared those places for the ones he has chosen.”

We could desire that extreme closeness that one on one, yet we must be cautious for we cannot afford to err.

Make good use of how far the Lord has brought you. Just ensure you keep growing. Then when He takes you to that peak, you will not fall. Glory to God.

Jude 1:24-25
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

Yes, we are blessed.

Love
