STAY PROTECTED
Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The greatest folly of the believer is to think that there is no battle. No, Christ said there is, the apostles confirmed it. THERE IS A BATTLE!
The joy is, we have victory.
Now victory is only confirmed and established for each one, if we walk in obedience. Yes. This is both legality and divinity.
For no one is what they are unless they are tried and found not wanting. Selah.
The Lord is not interested in slothful disciples. Remember the word disciples connotes "discipline".
This is why the apostle writes to remind us to be fitted with the whole armour. There is no playing around. "It is a serious business".
Ephesians 6:12(NLT)
For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
They try every day to take our mind away from God, throwing fiery darts of evil thoughts and fear. We must not be caught unguarded.
Ephesians 6:13-17(NLT)
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness.
For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
* Keep telling the truth: without this belt all your clothing falls off, you are naked and exposed.
Speak God's word.
John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
* Take on the righteousness of Christ Jesus, let it be your covering.
Isaiah 61:10
I am overwhelmed with joy in the lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding or a bride with her jewels.
* Keep your feet protected, how do you walk or run without your feet. Evangelize!
Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
* When the attack comes: hold up your shield of faith.
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God [is] pure: he [is] a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
* We cannot be confused or retarded: we must first have been saved and then not be easily swayed by every form of doctrine or teaching that contradicts God's word: wear your "helmet".
* Remember, without God's word, you have no sword to fight with!
* Then continue in prayer that your armour may be well maintained, sword sharpened and your Spirit alive. For without food the soldier no matter how covered they are will faint!
Ephesians 6:18
Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Yes pray for the brethren.
We need one another.
Are you fully protected.
What of your back?
Humility makes you never to turn your back unprotected!
