IT IS GOD WHO PERMITS

Psalms 127:1-2(NLT)
Unless the lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted.
Unless the lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.

Many have attributed their success and achievements to their personal efforts, dedication and wisdom. Though they are controlling factors, the God factor cannot be trivialized.

The truth is, if God does not permit, we waste our efforts.

Yes, we could give great examples of people who have not believed, yet have prospered in this life. (we have different forms of prosperity). However remember, that there are others who have done what they have done, be it  risks, strategies and steps, however they could not accomplish what these ones did.

It is foolish to believe that their success could take place without God's approval!

Daniel 4:30
The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

That was Nebuchadnezzar, he refused to give glory to God, to acknowledge His power as the one who permitted him to excel. He took the glory. We saw his fate, he learnt by living seven years as an animal.

Daniel 4:32
And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling [shall be] with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

It is wisdom to acknowledge that we made it so far because of the Heavenly Father's grace and mercy, we must acknowledge this and give Him His glory.

Has the Lord trusted you with anything. Do not take it for granted. Many desire to have what you have, while you also yearn to have what some have. Make good use of what the Lord has blessed you with and the privilege He has allowed you to have.

Yes it is God who permits.

James 4:14
Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

As we worship with the brethren today, let us remember the good things God has permitted for us and give Him glory.

May the Lord's name be praised. Halleluyah.
