ABIDE IN HIM TILL THE END
Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
This is what is expected of all who have come to the Lord. That our driving force is Him who have called us.
We ought to be reminded daily that our coming to the Heavenly Father is not passive, it is a whole new nature, a rebirth, such that a new thing drives us, a new reason, the very reason. The love of the Father.
John 15:1&5
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
We all, saved or unsaved originated from God, thus it is when God takes away His breath from us that we die, this is physical death, however it is sinister when the spirit becomes dead because it does not have life from the Father:
Acts 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
However, the one nature of God in us, the power to choose, gives us the option of whom we call father!
Ephesians 2:2&3
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
Just as it is written:
Romans 6:16
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Is it the Heavenly Father or the Enemy(Satan and other fallen angels)?
For it is deceit to believe that one can live on earth without the influence of the spirits(good or bad)!
For the victory was won, that we do not remain captive:
Ephesians 4:8
Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
No matter how you feel about it, this salvation was for all mankind:
Titus 2:11
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
However the operations of these powers have not ceased, yes, for until we leave this world our fight has not ended.
2Titus 4:6&7
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.
I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:
Matthew 24:13
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Revelation 2:26
And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Are you still alive to the Lord, or have you retired? Selah
Have you sold that which is important for that which will end here on earth?
It is all about Him, the moment we understand this all other things fall in place. For it is in His Glory that we have relevance.
The wakening is the awareness of the Heavenly Father's Spirit in us leading us day by day to do the Fathers will.
I confess that we will finish well.
He calls us blessed.
