DON'T GIVE IT ROOM

1 Peter 2:11
 Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

To say that the desires would not arise may not be entirely true. That they would overwhelm us, is actually up to us.

I have come to understand that God would not command what is impossible for us to obey. He then makes it even better by giving us His strength through His Holy Spirit.

 Hebrews 4:16
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

WHAT A LOVING FATHER!

Thus we must stay prepared and not easily pushed to submit to the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes or the pride of life.

For when one boasts of overcoming adultery, can they boast of overcoming lies, what of love of money or anger that is rooted in pride. It is not a struggle but an alignment to the victory we already have. That which Christ won for us. Halleluyah. Glory to the Father.

Illustrating : a pauper adopted into royalty must let go of the dirt of the slums and embrace the beauty and cleanness of the palace to remain there. Selah

So we do not give in, we do not return to our vomit.

2Peter 2:22
But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

So no matter how much we think we have known or how far we think we have matured we should never toil with FILTH!!!

Anyone could fall into dirt, however it is the pig that stays there. Selah

So we mind what we see, hear and what we do.

"Falling away" does not happen in a day.

BEWARE WHAT YOU ALLOW IN?!

So we receive instruction:

Proverbs 4:23-27
Guard your heart above all else,     for it determines the course of your life.
Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech.
Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.
[Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

May we never err, may we be good examples to our children and those who are yet to believe.

2Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep [you] from evil.

Amen.

We are the blessed.

Love
