DOING RIGHT

Psalm 32:11
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all [ye that are] upright in heart.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

The truth is that all teachings of scriptures abhors doing wrong, thus all teachings of scriptures encourage doing right!

A key word is "the upright".

Psalm 25:21
Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

This was the testimony of Christ:

Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

This is the nature of the believer.

Paul re-emphasizes:

Ephesians 6:8
Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether [he be] bond or free.

It is our Godly nature to do good. We go beyond our earthy feeling. To do that which is our Father's nature revealed in His Son, the Christ.

God's nature is good.

Matthew 5:45
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Jesus said:

Mark 10:18
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God.

Thus if you are of God, you display His nature.

Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

No believer is permitted "not to be good", no matter what excuse or provocation we could have.

Why should outsiders dictate our nature? Selah

1Thessalonians 5:15
See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].

May the Lord grant us grace to live according to His nature. May external forces and actions of others not take away the good from us.

Thank God for His Holy Spirit. Halleluyah.

We are blessed.
