WE ALWAYS NEED HIM

Psalm 46:1
God [is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

We can not get to the point when we feel that we do not need God anymore!

This is the worst state any human could be in.

Luke 12:19-21
And I’ll sit back and say to myself, “My friend, you have enough stored away for years to come. Now take it easy! Eat, drink, and be merry!”’
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’
“Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God.”

The tendency is so tempting when it seems it is peace all around us.  So also when it seems there is trouble, we cannot afford to give in.
We must be wise and stay alert.

1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

The enemy seeks to take our heart away from God. That was the aim when he persecuted Job. That is the reason for persecution of believers. We must be tested, tried and proved.

Romans 8:35
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

As we end the year, let us reflect on how we have spent the year, how much of our living was under God's direction. Who influenced all that we did.

We expect God to take care of us, do we take care to hear, honour and follow Him? Selah

I see a better us as we enter the new year.

To God be all the Glory.

We are the blessed.
