THE MYSTERY OF GIVING

Lately, there has been an attack on the giving spirit in the church, the major reason being the rising of wolves in sheep clothing, false prophets, magicians, sorcerers, manipulators, anti-christ and ignorant folks taking up Pastoral positions.

Colossians 4:5
Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Many never receiving the call, thus they cannot be good shepherds.

John 21:17
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Giving has always been the attribute of the believer, the church has always thrived on giving and it will thus continue:

Acts 4:34-35
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
And laid [them] down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

The giving was in love that none would have lack, that the church will grow and fulfil its mandate to reach out to the world, and that those who worked thereby were provided for.

1 Corinthians 16:1-2
Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

The revelation of what God expected:

Malachi 3:10
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].

Not any longer in bondage as those commanded lived in disobedience, but in love which is the nature we carry after we have been saved through Christ.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8
But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:

(and for those who think this giving doesn't include money, see verses 9 - 15)

We give not just money. Selah!

Yes the key is giving cheerfully without grudge, no one compelling you or cajoling you. The widow's mite in "Luke 21:1-4" still remains a challenge to most of us.

The truth is, many believers have lost the sense of sacrifice, which is built on love. "Sacrificial Giving"

The wrath of God comes on all evil self acclaimed leaders, teachers and pastors who follow the agenda of the enemy to steal, kill and destroy the sheep. Their condemnation is already settled.

However we must still remain faithful.

What of those around us, our villages, ghetto, even our families whom we know are in lack, we need to reach out to them.

Yes we have so many liars and lazy people seeking whom to hang on and extort from so that they do not have to work to eat. We must be weary of these. However many are in genuine need.

The Spirit will direct us. We will continue to be a blessing.

Don't forget those who feed you with the word and bless you spiritually. Like our elder Abraham, learn to bless them.

Keep those who serve you happy. Selah

In all, let the love of God that provoked Him to give you His greatest. Make you liberal in giving.

We are like our Father.

He will keep providing for us because He trusts that, we as good stewards will be His hands in reaching out to many. Selah

Glory to God.

We are blessed.

Love
@the watcher.
