IT IS STILL YOUR SEASON
Genesis 8:22
While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
As we come closer to wrap up the year, it is already time to begin to take stock of what we were able to achieve this year. How much have we been able to stay disciplined to the path the Lord helped us create for the year?
What of our resolutions, how much of them were we able to keep. Our work, reading, spiritual commitments, family commitments in fact the whole goals and plans for the year?
The question is "How far?" and "How well?"
Psalm 1:3
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
The book of Ecclesiastes states that there is always times and seasons:
Ecclesiastes 3:1
To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven:
We will obviously feel bad if we feel that we are behind schedule.
* Oh I ought to have built my house by now;
* I ought to have been married by now;
* I ought to have gotten my masters, PhD etc by now;
Most times we could get it wrong and only think of the physical achievements.
What of the spiritual achievements? How much of the Lord have you experienced? Have you known Him better, have you studied yourself approved, what of worship, prayer, what of the commandment to preach the gospel?
It is time to take stock and begin to make amends and arrange our plans for the coming year.
Don't feel disappointed, however be resolute to do better in the coming year.
Are you feeling things have not worked out well for you. Cheer up, you may just be passing through a process, and it is all for your good.
Many who fall, have not passed through the process and thus may have not been ready for the overwhelming task or luxury heaped on them.
The process is essential, most of those who went through the process stayed strong.
However there are people God waves the process for, these most times are the extra-ordinary ones or those who have proved themselves or those who have made the sacrifice.
Enoch was one of them!
Daniel 2:21
And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.
In all, there is nothing like the process, that we may enjoy in our season.
So clean up your act, arise from any depression, regret or worry start the rehearsal for the glorious impact of the coming year.
Remember also, that great breakthrough can still be yours this year.
Glory to God.
We are the blessed.
