AS YOUR WEALTH APPROACHES
Ecclesiastes 5:12
The sleep of a labouring man [is] sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
At these times when acquiring of wealth seems to be a drive for many. We have also to be careful, that we actually labour righteously and not be entangled with the negative influence of the desire for wealth.
Luke 18:22-24
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.
And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!
1Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Do we say that the child of God should not posses wealth, NO, however character must be built. Nothing like being prepared for every level one gets to in life. There is always a process and that process prepares you for your next level. That you may not crash.
To him much is given, much is expected.
When you desire to have so much, remember that you also have to be ready for the responsibility that comes with it.
Then the question:
WHEN IS IT ENOUGH?
1 Timothy 6:8
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
He then writes:
1Timothy 6:9
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
Glory to God. Do you know your assignment? It will show you the extend of what you need. Selah
May nothing take a higher position than the Heavenly Father, God the Almighty, in our life. Amen.
