TRUST IN THE LORD
Proverbs 16:1
The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, [is] from the LORD.
Proverbs 16:1 (the message bible)
Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word.
God created us as a mortal replica of Himself, we have the ability to make plans. However the final say is of the Lord. For no matter how much wisdom we think we have, we do not see everything.
Proverbs 16:2
All the ways of a man [are] clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
That's where man could get it twisted, God goes deeper than the surface, He sees the heart. Furthermore He knows the end from the beginning.
So what is the best way?
Proverbs 16:3
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Proverbs 3:5-7
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Yes, we could say, what of those who have NOT known the Lord, see some of them prospering and doing exploits.
Hmm
Proverbs 16:4
The LORD hath made all [things] for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
We need to decide whether we want God to be in charge of our life or not.
Man is never a vacuum, something always takes control. Selah
What has control over you: fear, love of money, sin, guilt, envy, pride, self, sex, addictions, tribalism, racism, lust, laziness, food, sleep, the list is endless: Say NO dear one, instead:
LET IT BE GOD, THE HEAVENLY FATHER!
You who have known the Lord, let your testimony be. . . :
Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.
Don't get carried away with pride, then you walk without Him.
Proverbs 16:5
Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
Let us recommit to putting our trust in the Lord. Let nothing else take His place.
We are blessed.
Love
