RESPECTER OF PERSONS

James 2:1
My brethren, have not the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, [the Lord] of glory, with respect of persons.

This has been the down fall of many believers, leaders and teachers. "Respect of persons"

What is the issue here? Mammon

Luke 16:13
 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

James 2:6
But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?

However we know that we associate with our kind. Those who have the same vision and goals. Those who are already where we are headed, learning from them and seeking advice. This should be no reason why we should look down on those we feel are poor or are beneath us. We shouldn't get it twisted.

There are those we seek counsel and help from and there are those that seek counsel and help from us. The circle continues.

What is the nature of our Heavenly Father?

Romans 2:11
For there is no respect of persons with God.

What do we seek when a new person joins our fold? Selah!

James 2:9
But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

We should see beyond the pomp and show, beyond the so called wealth and beyond the boasting. What is their character? What fruit do they bear?

Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

In all let love be our nature and let God be our reason. Selah

May we be called Christ's.

Remember: God is in control.

As we go through the 11th month of this year of accomplishment, let us be reminded. When it seems to hurt so much, or it all looks quiet and alone, when it appears not to work out.
