PROSPERITY

John 3:27
John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

We cannot have anything except the Heavenly Father permits that we do. Yes we plan, set goals, work etc. Yet if the Lord does not permit we will not yield.

Psalm 127:1
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh [but] in vain.

Proverbs 16:1(The Message)
Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word.

I love that hymn by Matthias Claudius: "We plough the seed and scatter" the first verse and chorus goes thus:

(We plough the fields, and scatter the good seed on the land;
But it is fed and watered by God's almighty hand:
He sends the snow in winter, the warmth to swell the grain,
The breezes and the sunshine, and soft refreshing rain.

Chorus All good gifts around us
Are sent from heaven above,
Then thank the Lord, O thank the Lord
For all His love.)

Men like Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, Ahithophel, Balaam, etc., though not recognising God themselves, were written to have received their positions by God's will.

Romans 9:17
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.

2Samuel 15:31
And [one] told David, saying, Ahithophel [is] among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

The parable of the rich fool showed that God allows anyone to prosper:

Matthew 5:45
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

However would they now turn to Him to acknowledge the good He has done and depart from their evil and anti-God ways is another issue.

Nebuchadnezzar had to learn his the hard way by living like an animal for seven years. Hmm.

So no matter how much you toil, if God does not bless your labour, you cannot go far.

Proverbs 20:21
An inheritance [may be] gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end thereof shall not be blessed.

Many have taken God's glory and given to another, because they could not wait for the Lord. Thus they cannot give a complete testimony. Selah

We that know, should understand that it is good to wait on the Lord, listening for directions while we keep obeying that which we have already received. Remember the most important thing is your soul.

Never get it twisted!

Matthew 16:26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

1Timothy 6:9
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Bless the Lord that your wealth commeth after you have known Him. Halleluyah.

Are you in the wealth or progressing into it, don't get carried away, don't pierce your soul. Don't let your love grow cold, don't get frustrated or impatient. The important thing is you are at peace with the Lord. That is what the enemy fights to take from you. Not your wealth, health or abilities. He wants to separate you from the Heavenly Father. HE WILL NOT SUCCEED.

Wait on the Lord, He blesses, He lifted up, He prospers. Never give your soul to anything else. Never give God's praise to anyone or anything else.

You are blessed.

Love
