IF YOU SIN!

(Do read through patiently)

1John 2:1
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

This was not really an issue with the keepers of law in Israel, the books of the law had comprehensive offences and repercussions for errs. They only needed to refer the matter to the elders and teachers of the law then verdict was taken. However:

Then the truth about God's law was revealed!

Psalm 4:4
Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

Psalm 24:4
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

Psalm 44:21
Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Psalm 66:18
If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear [me]:

Psalm 78:37
For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.

1Samuel 16:7
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for [the LORD seeth] not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

Matthew 5:27-28
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Matthew 5:8
Blessed [are] the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Matthew 15:18
But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

Acts 13:22
And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the [son] of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.

1Timothy 1:5
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned:

1 Peter 3:4
But [let it be] the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, [even the ornament] of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

Now the issue was not just the action but the intention of the heart. This was the root of the sin. The content of the heart proceeded the sin!

They were like "what is this man saying?"

John 8:5-7
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with [his] finger wrote on the ground, [as though he heard them not].
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with [his] finger wrote on the ground, [as though he heard them not].
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

Hebrews 2:17
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto [his] brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

Hebrews 7:28
For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, [maketh] the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

Thus making Christ the only one who is the high priest over all. The lineage of priesthood ended with Christ, then He made us all priests.

1 Peter 2:9
But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Thus we cannot live anyhow, we are not made to sin. However if we do err, we have the direct access to the heavenly Father to seek forgiveness and to go to sin no more. Not to a man, no matter what title they carry. Selah

Yes we seek our leaders for help, counsel and direction but we remember whom really we account to. May the Lord strengthen and help our Clergy and leaders, may they be strong at all times to fulfil their role. Amen.

Who has trapped you, who has labelled you. Be set free by the liberty we have in Yeshua, Jesus the Christ, we are NOT to live in sin, however we do not owe man but God. Let no one make his/herself God over you in judgement.

This said, if we continue in sin, we have no right with the brethren. We have chosen a path, we don't come pollute the gathering of the saints.

1Corinthians 5:11-13
But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

The issue of what is, and what is not sin lies with the Heavenly Father, cause Yahweh has the final say. However there is repercussion for every action and God is not a respecter of persons.

MAY THE HOLY SPIRIT HELP US GET IT RIGHT!

Romans 6:14
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

We are His offspring, if He is pure, we should be too.

WE SHOULD FOCUS OUR MIND AND ENERGY ON OUR NEW NATURE.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

We are blessed.
