YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Deuteronomy 4:31
(For the LORD thy God [is] a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

Hebrews 13:5-6
[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

There is this misconception that some believers sometimes have, especially when they face certain challenges, temptation or trials. That thought or feeling that they are on their own. That it is when they cried out that the Lord came to rescue them. No!

Let us understand this, the Lord sends help time and again to the believer. There are battles that are fought, time and again. However the Lord never leaves His own unguarded.

We could talk of the hedge around Job such that enemy could not touch the righteous of the Lord.

Job 1:10
Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

Let us look also at Daniel and his three friends.

Did we think that Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah were standing alone when they refused to bow to Nebuchadnezaar's statue?

Let us think again. Read

Daniel 3:22-23
Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.
And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Do we see that before the three friends fell into the fire, they would have been burnt, thus they were not alone even before they were thrown into the fire.

It took the fire for Nebuchadnezaar to see the fourth person. Selah

Daniel 3:24-25
Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, [and] spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.
He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

Let us look also at Daniel's experience:

Daniel 6:16
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast [him] into the den of lions. [Now] the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

Now see this:

Daniel 6:24
And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast [them] into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

The lion did not allow them get to the bottom before they were devoured.

So, Daniel was not alone even before getting to the bottom of the lions den.

Let us listen to Jesus:

John 8:29
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

We must not think that the Lord will leave us alone. This is one reason we walk by faith and not by sight. If those of old could enjoy His presence, much more, we who carry His Spirit inside of us. We have been born of His Spirit, we are never on our own.

The key is always to do that which pleases Him. We have power to change things.

Matthew 18:18
Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Much more when we are in agreement.

Matthew 18:19
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

Do you know what power you and your spouse wield when you come in agreement? Even in the place of prayer!

What of when you come together as a church.

Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

That is why it is odd to call down God's presence when you gather in His name. HE IS ALREADY THERE. selah

So knowing this we live a life of prayer. We are not alone. God is with us. Thus we stay in constant communication with Him.

The enemy would be pleased to keep you unaware of God's presence that he may take advantage. God forbid, we will not fall, fail or falter.

Remember:

Joshua 1:9
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Glory to God.

We are blessed.
