FAITH WALK
2 Corinthians 5:7
(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
We ought to remember that all we have been able to achieve and whatever level we have gotten to we may not have attained if we allowed ourselves be persuaded or limited by what we see or feel.
Accomplishment are not conquered by mere sight or feeling. This is a general principle of conquering. Even before Christ was revealed in the flesh, men who walked by faith conquered.
Daniel could only see his bondage status and meats and foods sacrificed to idols. However by faith He saw the all powerful God of Israel who He needed to reverence.
Daniel 1:8
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah could only see and maybe feel the hot flames of the fire, however by faith they saw a glorious God who could never be replaced by any authority.
Daniel 3:17
If it be [so], our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver [us] out of thine hand, O king.
Abraham walked by faith, that he could not be moved by all the tradition of men around Him, he could stand out as one that God could speak to.
Joseph was not limited to his slavery or even his jail term he continue on the pathway of faith.
It takes a man who can walk in the spirit to walk in faith, because the flesh would always limit the revelation and hope. Trying to bring you down to the level of the NOW!
This is why sin get the better of some of us. To live above sin we need to see beyond the now, as these great people of old did. Even our fathers in the Lord of recent history lived by this same faith.
By faith we walk with God knowing that we will be clothed in immortality, and that all the stress and burden of this world will pass away. We will be clothed with joy and everlasting rest. Glory to God.
2 Corinthians 5:4
For we that are in [this] tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
Our faith is not only on earth alone but into eternity. For this reason we keep ourselves unspotted from the world. Selah
We cannot go far with God if we limit ourselves to what we can see or feel. Some who got the new birth and were erroneously asked to seek for a feeling missed it. Why?
Romans 10:17
So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
So that is why as new believers they ought to:
1 Peter 2:2
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
Learning to:
1Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
And to:
2 Peter 1:5-8(NLT)
In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge,
and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness,
and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone.
The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Then as they grow unto maturity:
Hebrews 5:14
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Glory to God.
I see our faith renewed, I see all stunted growth projected, every weakness from the flesh transformed to strength in the spirit.
We walk by faith. Glory to God.
We are blessed.
