DO GOOD LIKE YOUR FATHER

1Thessalonians  5:15
See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].

Psalm 109:5
And they have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

In the last days the scriptures prophesied that there would be betrayals among brethren. Many would breech trusts that ought to reign in relationships for moments of pleasure, greed and selfishness.

One reason this would happen is that in these latter days, many would develop "itching ears" they would not endure sound doctrine. The would not want to listen to the truth. The would feel comfortable with a lie or half truths.

2Timothy 4 : 3 & 4
 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away [their] ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The fear of God has been removed and replaced with the chase for prosperity, relevance and religion. Forgetting that we would all give account. All will yet come to an end.

Ecclesiastes 12:14
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether [it be] good, or whether [it be] evil.

Many pray, fast and do church things but have no personal dedication to God. Do we still speak one on one with the Father in our spirit man or has our conscience been seared with iron.

The standard for the believer is:

1Thessalonians 5:15
See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].

Have we not fallen short? Have we not derailed? Even those who show us love or do us good. Have we showed them love? Have we not betrayed them.

The new commandment is Love and it is the fulfilment of all the laws and the prophets.

Are we seeking to always take advantage. Do we even care to bless those who have been a blessing to us. God has used many people to bless us, have we deemed it fit to appreciate them one way or the other. Giving is the sign of love.

Glory to God, the Son has died and resurrected, we can confess, seek forgiveness, restitute and have peace again. He is a merciful Father.

May we be called, children of God. We will reflect the nature of our Father.

God bless you.

Love
