Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places].
Most of the battles believers fight are self created and most times illusions of the mind, created by traditional sentiments, hatred of others and ignorance.
Is it that we do not fight, NO! However the battle is not carnal.
Even the drive for wealth could become a battle that leave believers wounded.
1Timothy 6:9-10
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

I wonder where the Holy Ghost fire originated from and when it was initiated to destroy humans. However some find their peace thus by trying to send the fire to devour others.
Are we fighting the right battles, or are we beating the wind?
When do we begin to work on ourselves to become the people God wants us to be and cease looking for people to blame for our bad attitudes, laziness and failures.
The battle begins in you.

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is].
Let us leave unnecessary battles and face that which the Lord has called us for.
Remember, there is no reward for all those battles, but for your good deeds in fulfilling that which God has purposed for you.
