SPEAK WELL
Do you use curse words?
Matthew 12:36
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
There is a trend all over the world were people have become accustomed to curse words and evil speakings. You could get so used to it that you do not know when you use them they just come out. We must remember that our words are the reflection of what we have in our inside:
Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
Our conscience must never be smeared with hot iron. We must know when we should speak and when we ought to be silent. Not every slang is meant for the believer to use. NO!
Proverbs 4:24
Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
We must not allow this cankerworm eat into our lives and the lives of those who are under us.
As parents, let our children be taught to speak right, curse words are not for us. We speak to edify.
Proverbs 21:23
Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
The source of these curse words include, peer groups and movies.
We must not fall into these traps neither should we allow others under our care be trapped in this bondage.
Jesus said:
Matthew 5:22(NLT)
But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.
I see us speaking right and I see us leading many to do so.
We are the blessed.
