IN WHAT SEASON? (Isaiah 63 - 65)
Isaiah 64:4
For since the beginning of the world [men] have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, [what] he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
When we read the book of Isaiah, we need to understand that its prophesies and revelations are of different seasons and its directions were to varying people(s), the children of Israel(literally), the various nations and also to the whole world.
Yes when we read the old testament, we do not read like the people of old or the pharisees and Sadducees with a veil. We read without the veil. We read by the power of the spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:15-16,18
Yes, even today when they read Moses’ writings, their hearts are covered with that veil, and they do not understand.
But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
So we do not change scriptures or give it another meaning neither do we preach that what the scripture meant at a particular time now has a different meaning, NO, however we see without a veil and we understand the seasons by the power of the spirit.
So we must understand the seasons.
Daniel 9:2-3
During the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, learned from reading the word of the lord, as revealed to Jeremiah the prophet, that Jerusalem must lie desolate for seventy years.
So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and fasting. I also wore rough burlap and sprinkled myself with ashes.
The seasons:
* the pre birth of Christ including the rebuilding of the temple
* the birth of Christ up till His death and resurrection
* the revelation of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit
* the pre-end of the world, the last days
* the return of Christ
Thus when Jesus got into the temple He revealed what season it was:
Luke 4:17&18
And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
Thus we must also understand that there are different seasons and each revealed is appropriate for its time.
In all, one thing is sure, those that wait on the Lord will receive satisfaction and will never be disappointed, they would be a wonder to the world:
Isaiah 64:4
For since the beginning of the world [men] have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, [what] he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
1 Corinthians 2:9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
we see it by the Spirit:
1 Corinthians 2:10
But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
So as we conclude the book of Isaiah we must understand that Israel was the channel of salvation, they rebelled yet the Lord fulfilled His salvation plan and Christ Jesus was revealed.
John 4:22
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Then after His revelation all now have full access to the Father, through His Son and by His Spirit.
John 4:23-24
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
This is the season of the full revelation of the Holy Spirit and we are so close to the end. May we understanding the times by revelation not err by submitting to all the forces and powers that come to take the place of God in our lives. We will not err like those of the past, we have the Spirit.
We have an awesome inheritance, so let us keep faith.
We are blessed.
